Scene ~ The Q garden, after the incident outside of Luke's... Jason: Okay. It's all clear. Go ahead.
Carly: Jase? I know that I over-reacted tonight.
Jason: Oh, now you want to get into it. Carly, these people probably aren't even asleep yet.
Carly: Do you know why I get crazy like that?
Jason: Because you can't help it?
Carly: Do you know why I can't help it?
Jason: Am I supposed to guess because I haven't so far and we could be out here for awhile.
Carly: Okay, look. This is my nightmare. Okay? It's not that my plan won't work. It's that it will. And I'll finally be through with all this. And Michael and I will come back and you won't be there waiting for us.
Jason: Why would you think that?
Carly: Because I make you mad. So mad. And I make you promises all the time, Jason. But you don't make them back to me.
Jason: Alright, look. I am in this, for the long haul. Okay? You don't need to pull crazy stunts, you don't need to smack waitresses around to convince me.
Carly: You've never said that before.
Jason: I thought it was understood.
Carly: Not by me. I'm sorry, okay. I know I'm a pain. It's just because I, just... It's just everything. The stakes are so high.
Jason: For me too.
Carly: Thank you. (they hug)
Jason: Oh, Carly...
(she laughes, and her fingers run over his hair and the back of his neck... Then she pulls him into a steamy kiss. A kiss of which he is most definitely kissing her back...)* * * * *
Carly: Mmm...
Jason: (he pushes her away) Carly-! What are you doing? What- What are you doing? These people are gonna come out here.
Carly: So let them!
Jason: (the you-know-better tone) Carly.
Carly: What? (pause) What? You going back for that girl at Lukes? (he gives her a look) Just a question. Are you?
Jason: What do you think?
Carly: (she looks at him for a second) I think this!
(She grabs onto his jacket lapels and enthusiastically tries to kiss him again. A move which I can't see how their teeth didn't knock against each other...)
Jason: Carly-! Carly, stop it. I gotta go. (he beats a hasty retreat into the bushes)
Carly: No, no! Ugh!
