Scene ~ Carly in her room, there's a knock at the door Carly: Come in!
Bobbie: Hi.
Carly: Hi!
Bobbie: How are you feeling?
Carly: Oh... Nervous. Scared to death.
Bobbie: It comes with the territory. Believe me, I should know. (they giggle)
Carly: So I'm really glad you came. I wasn't sure that you were gonna make it.
Bobbie: Oh, honey. My daughter is getting married today. I wouldn't miss this for the world.
Carly: Even though you think I'm making a mistake.
Bobbie: Mistake or not... I know you're doing something that's very difficult. You're marrying one man when you're really in love with another.
* * * * *
Carly: You made your point. You've made your appearance. So if that's the best you can do, you can leave.
Bobbie: No, no, no. You're not getting rid of me that easily. You're my daughter. And you're getting married today. And I have no intention of missing it. Carly, I love you. And I'm standing by you today. I just want to make sure you know what you're doing. I know you love Jason. I saw it, when you stuck up for him at Michael's trial. I saw it that night at Luke's place when you got jealous when he was with that waitress. And I see the way you two are when you're alone, with Michael. And if it's that clear to me, how long do you think it's going to be before AJ realizes it? And then what kind of marriage are you going to have?
Carly: So what? I love Jason. But he doesn't love me. He said that he would protect me, he would defend me, he would give me all the money in the world that I want. He would even help me raise my son. But he... He would rather worship some angel on a pedestal than love me. AJ's different. He wants me. He thinks that I'm... his angel. I mean, he will someday.
Bobbie: Honey, have you told Jason how you feel?
Carly: Oh, I have done more than tell him. I have have shown him... over and over again. And each time he says the same thing - 'Carly, we're friends.' So... Fine. I'll be Jason's friend. And I'll be AJ's wife. And then I'll have everything I want.
