Scene ~ PH 4 (aka Sonny's Asylum) Sonny: She wants you to know that she's going on vacation with Michael and AJ.
Jason: Where are they going?
Sonny: Hawaii. She wanted me to let you know that she finally understands, and you were right all along. That her plan to come back to you after AJ could never work. She knows now that you gave up Michael so that he could have a, you know, a solid family. And she's... She's gonna give you up for the same reasons.
Jason: Giving me up?
Sonny: Yeah. That's why she didn't want to tell you herself. She says that she- she's not running after you anymore, I guess.
Jason: Huh. (long pause, he takes a few steps away and turns back after a second) Hey, that's good, you know. It's nice that they're going to Hawaii. Michael loves the ocean. You know, the first time he went- The first time I took him in the water was in Florida. After Carly's other mother, Virginia, died. We went down there to close down the house. There wasn't really much that Carly wanted and just being there made her sad. So we went to the ocean. Oh, man. Michael was really little. But Carly let me take him in the water. That kid was not afraid, Sonny. He was laughing the whole time. You know, he loved that feeling of half-floating with my hands around him... We got out of the water and Carly was there waiting for us. She wrapped Michael in a towel, dried him off... And we just sat there. And watched him fall asleep. That's what Carly was trying to get back, you know? The three of us, together. Wow, it hurts to lose it.
Sonny: You know, sometimes people get in your life, you know, and it feels like they belong.
